Lomba Debat Bahasa Indonesia

West-East Debate in Bahasa Indonesia (WEDBI) II

Collaboration between Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI, Washington, DC)

and

Consortium for the Teaching of Indonesian (COTI)

WEDBI II picks up the baton passed from the first debate in October 2016. The event constitutes a forum for junior and senior Indonesianists from universities across the US to express their opinions in formal Indonesian. The event celebrates Bahasa Indonesia as the unifying language of the Indonesian nation living in the world’s largest archipelago of over 17,000 islands. It also channels academic critiques towards the efforts of the current Working Cabinet in maritime development throughout the archipelago.
