The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia Offers Free Bahasa Indonesia Class for Non-Native Speakers
Beginner Program (from February 14 – June 20, 2017)
The Beginner class will be held every Tuesday, 6.00pm-8.00pm,
Listening – Speaking
By the end of the lesson, students will understand basic and intermediate communication skills and able to communicate on familiar topic with ease. Even though the proficiency would probably be limited, the students will use vocabularies in context to exchange the meaning and to deliver the messages. They are also expected to maintain a conversation with description without losing its meaning.
The Intermediate Class will be held every Wednesday, 6.00pm-8.00pm,
from March 8 – June 21, 2017
Listening – understanding – Speaking
By the end of the 16-meeting class it is expected that students will be able to talk about topics related to the student’s life and surroundings. Students will be able to make simple descriptions and narrations. They can begin, maintain, and close conversations on various topics, e.g., the neighborhood or city, a past and future trip. Students will be more aware of grammar in Indonesian and able to reflect this at the sentence level. They will be able to interact with native speakers who are used to speaking with non-native learners.
